About Barron's Red Silo

The Red Silo and barn were originally built in 1931 and in 2015 were completely restored and transformed into a premier, rustic wedding venue.

Spanning more than 185 acres of land, the property paints a landscape of open fields and mountainous imagery, providing a space to relax and savor your special day.

A signature feature at Barron’s is the charming bathroom/powder room that has been custom built inside the attached red silo, doubling as a private bridal suite for brides-to-be to dress and pamper themselves for the wedding ceremony/reception.

Maintaining its original design and materials, the upstairs ballroom boasts a unique framing pattern allowing for a completely open floor plan.  Three magnificent chandeliers light the 64x42 foot room and highlight the light, Ash hardwood floor. Double barn doors open to the outside and added windows allow for natural light for daytime events.

The ballroom can accommodate up to 200 people and included in your rental, if needed, are 60-inch round tables (seating eight) and 6-foot rectangular tables (seating six). Tables are available for food, the bar, cake, cookies, and even escort cards at no additional charge. A sweetheart table, also included, is recommended for ample spacing and spotlights the bride and groom during the reception.

Modern amenities such as electricity, lighting, heating and cooling elements on the second and first floors are available for comfort and convenience during your event.

The Terra Cotta Room (first floor) is the ideal space for your guests to enjoy hors d'oeuvres, cocktails and sweet treats.  It features glass entry doors, built-in windows and two modern, handicapped accessible restrooms complete with contemporary, rustic accents.  Three-foot square tables and chairs for up to 100 guests are available for this area at no additional charge. This room can also be converted into an indoor ceremony setting in the event of inclement weather.

For weddings, Barron’s also provides complimentary cookie displays, courtesy of our in-house designer, using repurposed chandeliers, wooden crates and similar rustic accoutrements, highlighting the popular, regional “Pittsburgh Cookie Table” in style.

For spring, summer and fall weddings, outdoor ceremonies can be held on site at Barron’s pond and are also included in the wedding package. The beautifully landscaped pond includes a recently constructed gazebo with electrical capabilities for the ceremony and an adjacent deck for photo opportunities, all with a scenic view of the Laurel mountain range.

The opportunity may also arise for bride and groom wedding portraits with a breathtaking, sunset backdrop. Barron’s will shuttle the bride and groom and their photographer to the hilltop overlooking the property for a panoramic photo session during the evening. Offered at no additional cost, this provides the happy couple with a moment to capture special memories to last a lifetime.

The lighted parking lot directly next to the barn can hold approximately 70 vehicles and additional field parking is also available for guests.
